FORUM OVERVIEW

The Sri Lankan Apparel Forum is the culmination of a unique collaboration by the Sri Lankan Export Board, Commonwealth Secretariat, Commonwealth Business Council, the London College of Fashion and the Sri Lankan High Commission to support the development of SMEs in the Sri Lankan apparel sector.

Eight leading Sri Lankan companies will be showcasing their manufacturing capabilities during a five day mission to the UK to meet potential buyers, joint venture partners and investors.

As well as providing an opportunity to meet potential suppliers that can support your supply chain, product development and manufacturing needs, the event will also focus on the development of the Sri Lankan apparel industry and strengthening connections with the UK fashion and retail industry.

Sri Lanka is pioneering ethical and sustainable practices and is one of the most proactive manufacturing hubs in South Asia through the Garments without Guilt (GWG) initiative. This ‘clean production’ industry-wide initiative has positioned Sri Lanka as a leading supply chain solution for responsible and green values.
